Freehubs with Double-row bearings have 2 bearings near the drive-ring to spread the load. We are moving to double row bearings throughout our wheels to improve their durability. Double Row freehubs are signified by “DR”, older single row have “SR” in the title.
We use TPI bearing in all our hubs. The stainless steel bearings are more corrosion resistant and come as standard in most of our wheelsets. The steel bearing freehubs are used in our Core range and can be bought as a spare freehub if you are looking for a budget option.
