The Rohloff is the ultimate internal geared hub, with classic German obsessive engineering quality.

The hub features a fully sealed oil bath with 14 perfectly evenly-spaced gears, each 13.6% bigger than the previous one, giving a total gear range of 526%, nearly twice as much as its nearest competitor. The hub will also go thousands of miles without needing a service or replacement of any parts so it will pay for itself in no time (if you live somewhere very muddy).

Although at 1700g it's quite a lump, it does combine the parts to replace 2 deraiileurs, part of your chain, a shifter and cable, cassette and (of course) hub, so depending on your previous setup it may work out about the same.

Due to the short spoke lengths required we can only offer this build on 26" wheels with DT Comp spokes. Any spokes are available for 29er builds. Please contact us before ordering as there are various hub options to choose from depending on your frame.

Also included in the price are cables, torque arm and chain tensioner. You will need to buy a disk and sprocket separately - please see "we also recommend..." over on the right. We can provide other accessories as necessary for your bike, eg speedbone disk-mounted torsion arm and so on.
