Dual ply as the name suggests are super tough, if you’ve a problem with single ply then these are the tyres you need, but there’s a catch - they’re heavy and over 1kg a wheel to drag around needs some thought and ideally an uplift. We often get asked tyre weights around the mid-weight tyres where people don’t want to be dragging round a Dual Ply Maxxis DH tyre (always over 1kg) and are looking for something quicker for all-day use but still able to handle some rocky stuff.*
