We've just about settled down again after the show in Bristol at the weekend. Thanks to anyone who came and said hello, since most of our sales are mail-order it was good to be able to actually meet up with some of the people riding our wheels.
The show itself was surprisingly busy with over 2000 people through the door to see all manner of frames, components and clothing, mostly hand-made by small manufacturers. Not bad considering the show almost didn't get off the ground due to a lack of interest in the early days of organisation, with too many potential exhibitors saying they'd see how the show went this year before committing to a stand "next time".
Thankfully organiser Phil Taylor was persistent enough and had the backing of the venue owners who are into bikes and really wanted it to go ahead. So the original 16 exhibitors had grown to about 35 by the time the date of the show came around, making the show a huge success.
Our wooden bike wheel displays went down well and the Enves were the ermm Enve of many visitors. The Ambrosio/Miche road build for £244 impressed people with the quality available at that price. More on our show builds coming soon.
